Katrina Kaif becomes brand ambassador of Slice

New Delhi, March 19 (IANS) PepsiCo has signed Bollywood’s actress Katrina Kaif, who gave huge hits like ‘Namastey London’ and ‘Welcome’ last year, as its brand ambassador for its popular mango juice drink brand Slice.

‘I am extremely proud to be associated with Slice. When the brand approached me, I readily agreed because it is the best tasting mango drink and has been my favourite for a long time. Its taste makes it a perfect drink suitable for all occasions,’ said Katrina in a press release.

With this, Katrina, who will be seen in a completely different avatar in Abbas-Mustan’s ‘Race’, becomes the first brand ambassador for Slice.

‘Slice enjoys high salience in the Indian market. We are delighted to associate with Katrina as the brand ambassador for Slice and are positive that she will help build the brand’s connect with our core consumers,’ said Homi Battiwalla, vice president, Emerging Categories, PepsiCo India.

Katrina Kaif : Most expensive item

Katrina Kaif is allegedly paid a whooping 1.5 crore for an item number in Shree Ashtavinayak’s upcoming flick Blue. With he staggering amount Katrina Kaif becomes the highest paid item girl in Bollywood. Blue stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta in lead roles.

A Bollywood insider revealed, Katrina Kaif has become a sort of a lucky mascot, after all her films have done well. The actress is now getting any price she is demanding. Shree Ashtavinayak’s Blue has a 100-crore budget. When the production house asked her to do an item number, Kat initially refused, as she doesn’t want the label of an item girl. But when the makers agreed to pay her a 1.5 crore fee and offered a few more scenes, the actress accepted.”

Katrina has said yes to the offer, and has allotted ten day for the song in the month of May.

When contacted, Katrina confirmed the news; I am doing something very special in Blue. I wouldn’t call it an item number. I have given ten days for the film, May onwards. They require seven days for the song. The other bit will take three days.”

Katrina also revealed about her 1.5 crore contract and said, “The figure you’ve quoted is pretty accurate.”

Parag Desai, the media consultant for Shree Ashtavinayak says, “We have indeed signed Katrina for Blue. We would not like to disclose the figures involved. Also, she has a proper role in the film.”

Now that’s a great moolah for Katrina’s jhatkas and matkas.

Katrina’s Item Number Comes for 1.5 Crore

Katrina Kaif is the highest paid item girl in the industry. The actress is being paid a staggering Rs 1.5 crore to shake her booty in Shree Ashtavinayak’s next film, Blue, starring Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta in lead roles.

Accrding to sources, Katrina has become a sort of luck mascot after all her films have done well. The actress is now getting any price that she is quoting. Shree Ashtavinayak’s Blue has a budget of Rs 100 crore. Apparently when the production house had first asked her to do an item number, she had refused. But when the filmmakers agreed to pay her Rs 1.5 crore and offered her a few more scenes, the actress accepted. The actress is believed to have signed on the dotted line last week. Katrina, however, would not like to call it an item number. She says that she is doing something very special in Blue. She has given ten days for the film’s shoot, May onwards. They will take seven days for the song and three days for the other bits. The actress was also approached to do another item number for Balaji Telefilms’ next, C Company, but she turned it down. Money, it is believed was the bone of contention. Balaji was not willing to shell out that kind of money and the deal fell through.
